This resource was designed to help end users determine their net worth. Once calculated, it provides a reference point for tracking progress toward their financial goals.
Audience: Young, on-the-go professionals
Tools Used: Canva, Pexels, Remove BG, MovStash, Notes
After selecting a topic based on current events, trends, or audience feedback, my first step was to draft a text-based design outline using the Notes app. I've found that writing out the vision for what I want to convey, along with identifying the main focus of the content makes the overall process much smoother.
As I drafted the outline, I also determined the best method for delivering the content - whether a single slide, video reel, or carousel. For this topic, I chose a carousel to better accommodate the amount of information I wanted to share with the audience.
Once the design outline was complete, my next step was to source high-quality, royalty free images from sites such as Pexels and Unsplash.
Using the text-based design outline and the sourced images, I transitioned the design process into Canva where I developed and finalized the visual concept.
Text-Based Design Outline
I went through several iterations, exploring various images, characters, fonts, layouts and colors. My aim was to create a cohesive design with a focus on contrast, balance, alignment and consistency.
